This is the cornerstone of our mission: to value, acknowledge, motivate and cultivate young adults' leadership potential and to demonstrate the benefits of proactive citizenship.

MassSTAR (Massachusetts STudents Accepting Responsibility) empowers students to accept responsibility as citizens, and help create profound and positive change in our society.

We want young people to act proactively and intentionally, in cooperation with others, with acceptance for others, and with respect for others. Today's high school students will become tomorrow's leaders. Simply put, young people are our future. At the MassSTAR Foundation we have faith in the ability of our young people to become part of an aware and conscientious citizenship. These young leaders can help mold their communities TODAY in that same light.

Since 1978, hundreds of MassSTAR volunteers have helped make a difference in the lives of Massachusetts youth. This spring MassSTAR will once again host high school sophomores from across the Commonwealth at our annual conference. Due to the generous support of local communities, the selfless efforts of our volunteers, and the enthusiasm of the young men and women who attend the conference, we anticipate another outstanding event.
